Bits on a Sunday

-I have (yet again!) a new blog address! Update your links to make sure you can follow along at

www.gooseandtrisser-blog.com

-I changed addresses again because a) I have a splash page now at www.gooseandtrisser.com, leading you to this here blog and other goodies and b) I have a new online shop, which will be at

It hasn't launched just yet, so stay tuned for updates. You can still find my tiny treats in my Etsy shop for now.

-There are a couple things on sale in the shop and I added a couple items to help benefit relief efforts after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and the Pacific. Head on over to check those out, including this cutie:

50% of sale will go to American Red Cross

-Lastly, you have two more days to take advantage of my March sale going on - head over to A Hasty Life to see my sponsor feature and get a great discount code! Expires March 15th.

-Totally not shop related, had a Skype date this morning with my oldest bro and SIL. I highly recommend it to families that are far apart. They got to watch Bird run all around and see what she can do now. I hope to do it more often cause it is a great way to for Bird to get to know them better since they live so far away and aren't over all the time.

-This is going to be a busy week, with tons of appointments, friend dates, play dates, hopefully moving updates, cooking at home, and lots + lots of stitching (I have 8 hoops to get done!)

As we say around these parts, "Get an early start!" Happy Sunday!

Am I getting old?

Yes and so is this blog. I'm getting so old that I didn't even remember my blog's 3 year anniversary! I can't believe I've been in this space, sharing for over three years now.

For now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my Sunday with my little family but I'll leave you here with some my favorite posts from the past three years.

enjoy!

NaBloPoMo

Since it went so well when I tried in April and after my month long absence from this space, I've decided to participate in NaBloPoMo.

Premeditated failure & another break

I failed at both of my challenges that I took on for this month. But I failed in the manner that I'm OK with. I decided to stop them to maintain a focus on my family and spending our last few days of summer/start of fall together uninterrupted.

So I'm a quitter.

I'm going to take another step back from my blog for a bit here. This is to just soak up as much time with my little family right now while the weather is still nice as I can. There will be walks and time at the parks, cook outs and bonfires, play dates and date nights, and I'll love them all. There is also another project that I would like to work on and that will take a bit of focus.

I will be back, don't worry. Check you in October.

The quiet

I have a confession to make: I hate when I get all quiet on my blog.

It usually happens when the days start to run together and I'm lucky if I get 5 minutes in the bathroom alone, let alone time to sit and get my thoughts out. These days have been full of playing with Bird, keeping her hands out of my curls, trying to find her missing afternoon nap (I know its around here somewhere), feeding her while not stressing about my milk production (sorry!) and getting her in bed so Mom can enjoy a little Moscato and T for the evening.

Just know that when things get quiet I'm enjoying my family and our little moments, like this one where we played in the front yard yesterday and Bird got a ride in the wheelbarrow.

Questions and Answers

I stumbled upon this blog, 5 Questions a while back and thought "What fun! I'm in." Basically, Kennan, the one that runs the blog, asks each blogger 5 questions and then features them and their blog for a day so we can "get to know" each other. So I emailed Kennan and she sent me my questionnaire, which I promptly took too long to fill out - what can I say, it gets busy around here with Bird!

After finally sending my answers in, I patiently waited my turn to be featured and today is that day my friends! Head on over to 5 Questions to learn a little bit more about me and to check out other bloggers that have been featured in the past.  I think this is a great way to make this internet of ours feel a little smaller. If you want to participate email Kennan. I had a lot of fun doing this and can't wait to see who gets posted next!

p.s. hello to anyone that has stopped by from 5 Questions!

These are the people in your neighborhood

I was hopping around the internets today when I came upon this post by Jenna over at Lemons and Thoughts. She asked if anyone even read her blog anymore. So it got me to thinking, who reads my blog? I write to inform on our comings and goings, and I guess to entertain the web with our daily life, but really I keep this blog to have an account of this time in our lives, so it interests me to see who is actually interested enough to keep coming back for more.

I figured now was as good a time as any to ask "Who is reading this?" Let me know a bit about you since you are learning all about me, like where are you from? How did you find me? If you’re a fellow blogger, what's your site URL?

I'm looking forward to finding out more about YOU!
