A random feature
As I was checking over my shop stats the other day, I came across a new referral site, lovelyish.com and decided to check it out. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this gem of a post, "5 Etsy items on which someone thought to stick Tupac." All I could do was laugh, in a good way. All press is good press, I guess.

During this time, I'm working on some fun new things, new takes on old things, and more tiny treats all around! I can't wait to share what I've been working on. Be sure to stay posted for sneak peeks, shop updates and a reopening in the fall.

Sample sale
Now that I'm feeling better and the creative juices are flowing again, I've decided to have a little 2-day sample sale in the shop to move out my older inventory and make room for the some new things this fall!
Use the code SAMPLEGT and take 50% off everything in stock til 8/25. Some things may be returning in the fall, others you may never see again, so hop to it!

Get to know your neighbors
Even though last week was busy with packing, work, moving, seeing friends and more, I took a little time out for myself to find a little something for our new place. I had been eying a couple pieces from everyeskimo for a bit and finally bit the bullet and clicked "checkout."
Lucky for me, everyeskimo is local to me, so not only did I get to save on shipping (cost cutter!) but I got to meet the lovely Regina behind the great finds and cute little stitched friends. She was just as adorable as I expected and her home (the little bit that I saw) is an aesthetic extension of what you see in her shop, amazing. She seems like the kind of lady I could be friends with! Ah, Etsy, bringing people together!
And what did I pick up you ask?
I am finally getting around to getting these pieces out as everything is finding its new place in the new space.

Bits on a Sunday
-I have (yet again!) a new blog address! Update your links to make sure you can follow along at
-Lastly, you have two more days to take advantage of my March sale going on - head over to A Hasty Life to see my sponsor feature and get a great discount code! Expires March 15th.
-Totally not shop related, had a Skype date this morning with my oldest bro and SIL. I highly recommend it to families that are far apart. They got to watch Bird run all around and see what she can do now. I hope to do it more often cause it is a great way to for Bird to get to know them better since they live so far away and aren't over all the time.
-This is going to be a busy week, with tons of appointments, friend dates, play dates, hopefully moving updates, cooking at home, and lots + lots of stitching (I have 8 hoops to get done!)
As we say around these parts, "Get an early start!" Happy Sunday!

Treasury Tuesday // A little mutual respect
I decided to highlight some of my favorite Etsy shops that also love creating hoop art as much as I do. We all put our little spin on it and I love the little differences that make our designs unique. Enjoy!

Happy weekend - where have I been?
This past week has been one of the busiest of the year so far.
I had a sick Bird and T, I had a couple friend dates, my women's small group meet up, and family life to enjoy and contend with.
The three things that kept me the busiest this week?
1. I've been blogging a bit over here at Papernstitch. Can I just say how excited I am for the chance to work with Brittni and so far we are off to a great start!
2. Creating this little lovely for a Michigan girl who is far from home.
Tomorrow we have Bird's first birthday shindig, so I'm off to order cake (yum!), finger foods, wrap presents, clean house, and hopefully nap a bit.
Happy weekend! Enjoy!

Treasury Tuesday
To give a little handmade love out, I decided to do up an etsy treasury focusing on some things for the men in our lives. I used T as a bias but these can be for any gentleman you fancy. With Valentine's Day around the corner (I know, January 11th and I'm already thinking about Valentine's Day?!) here is a sneak at some things your gentleman might enjoy:
My favorites for T would be:
1. Screen Printed Anchor Cardigan
2. Triangle Beard Print
and 3. Gray Tweed iPad bag (if he had an iPad)
images 1. brightwall; 2. heatherfuture;+ 3. mariforssell
